What Should I Wear to a Hammam?
If you’re visiting a Hammam for the first time, you may be wondering what to wear, what to bring and what to expect. At Casa Spa, we want you to feel comfortable and relaxed from the moment you arrive.
We offer traditional Moroccan Hammam experiences exclusively for women at our spa on Edgware Road, London.
Your comfort is important to us. If you’re unsure what to wear during your treatment, please contact our team before your visit and we’ll be happy to help.
We recommend travelling in loose, comfortable clothing so you can relax after your Hammam.
What should I bring?
We provide the products used during your chosen Hammam ritual, including Moroccan black soap and a traditional Kessa exfoliating mitt.
You may wish to bring:
- Comfortable clothes to change into
- Any personal toiletries you prefer to use
- A bottle of water

What happens during a Hammam?
A traditional Moroccan Hammam commonly includes warm steam, black soap and exfoliation with a Kessa mitt. Depending on the package you choose, your experience may also include a clay mask, hair mask or massage.
Our Traditional Moroccan Hammam includes Hammam steam, organic black soap infused with Argan Oil and a full-body Kessa scrub. Afterwards, you can shower, relax and enjoy Moroccan tea.
A few tips before your appointment
- Avoid exfoliating your skin at home beforehand, as your Hammam treatment already includes a scrub.
- Let us know before booking if you have any questions about whether a treatment is suitable for you.
- Tell your therapist if you’d like anything adjusted during your treatment.
